A graduate of St Martins College Lancaster (now part of the University of Cumbria). Sonya has taught English abroad in France at a state school and in Padova, Italy, for a private school where she worked with both teenagers and adults teaching both Business and General English. She also worked for two years in a language school in London where she was involved in the administration of the school.
She spent six years working for Zanussi CLV Systems in London as Translator and PA with responsibility for Human Resources which allowed her to learn a great deal about business life and helped her with teaching Business English.
For the last 16 years she has worked in Pordenone, Italy, teaching General and Business English at all levels and to all ages. She has specialized in preparing students for the Cambridge exams from KET to PROFICIENCY and has achieved an excellent pass rate for her students.
